PW's Meatballs with Pineapple and Pepper

I'm hungry and this sounds really good right now. Thinking about making it for the church potluck on Wednesday. Good idea or not??

  1. Good idea, but the freezing for a bit, rolling in flour, frying for a bit etc. is a bit labor intensive.......I made her bbq meatballs and had to do the same thing. I just wanted to bake them and skip those steps, maybe I will next time and see what the difference is? Firmer meatballs maybe?

  2. Yeah, you're right. I've made her bbcue meatballs a few times. Love them! They just taste so good I'm afraid of skipping that step. :-)Do you think the meatballs stay together better when they're frozen and fried?

  3. I'd guess that is why they are fried first, or to maintain moisture? My Aunt always fries her roast beef in a pan (before cooking) for a bit to keep the juices in the roast......

  4. My Grandma does too. I made the bbcue meatballs tonight and it did go quicker than last time, maybe I'm getting faster. And Andrew ate 5 of them so they must be good!
Thanks again for having us over Fri. We all had a great time-sorry we stayed so late, I really meant to leave earlier!
